Workshop for New Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems Communities: The Basics

The workshop is designed to give you a basic understanding of stormwater management and prepare your community for future permit application workshops with MPCA staff. Workshop attendees will learn the rationale for developing a stormwater management program to protect and enhance water resources, the impacts of land use on stormwater, Best Management Practices (BMPs) that can be employed in your community, and how your community can begin developing a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP) to meet your community’s needs prior to meeting with MPCA staff. NOTE that a similar workshop will be held in Elk River on June 18.
