Omaha Green Infrastructure Tour 2019

Welcome to the 11th year of the Omaha Green Infrastructure Tour! This year, we invite you to join us for a Maintenance and Management tour. We will re-visit some of our most interesting tour stops from the past decade and explore the good, bad and ugly of maintaining and managing green infrastructure.
Tour stops have been selected to include a variety of green infrastructure management design approaches which utilize a variety of maintenance techniques and have seen varying degrees of success. CEUs available.
Tour stops will include:
- Zero Net Energy Test Home—Rain Garden & Sustainable Landscape
- 58th and Maple—Bioretention/Stormwater Conveyance
- Fontenelle Park—Large Scale Green Infrastructure for CSO Program
- Spring Lake Park—Retention Pond, Trail, Stormwater Conveyance, Community Revitalization
- Omaha Sewer Maintenance—Bioretention and Pave Drain permeable pavement; collaborative research project with City of Omaha, EPA ORD, & USGS
- Saddlebrook Elementary—Bioretention & Green Roof
- Farm Credit Services—Green Roof
- Omaha Northwest High School Rain Gardens and Permeable Paving
