Webinar: Water Star and EcoScore – Web-based Environmental Assessments Developed to Complement Local Land and Water Conservation Efforts

Water Star and EcoScore are web based assessments that cities, towns, villages, watershed groups can use to rate their land and water protection efforts and gauge future progress.
This unique project is exploring the potential for expanding the Wisconsin Water Star program model to other states in the North Central Region by investigating opportunities for linking the Wisconsin Water Star Program with Michigan State University’s environmental assessment tool called the Ecological Score Card. During this 90-minute webinar, UW-Extension, Michigan State University, and their partners will introduce these innovative tools, describe how they benefit YOUR local community, and facilitate feedback on how the tools can be modified to enhance their broader use.
Who should attend?
Anyone who works directly or indirectly to support the local adoption of land and water conservation practices: University researchers, Extension personnel, Federal and state level natural resource/agricultural management specialists (DNR/EPA), Municipal professionals, local land and water protection groups.
