Clean Rivers, Clean Lakes Conference

April 26, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

2018 CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION

This spring, participants from nonprofit, government, business and academic organizations will gather to learn about

  • Improving the health of our watersheds through policy innovation,
  • Technical and engineering advances,
  • Watershed restoration planning and practices, and
  • Collaborative stakeholder involvement.

The conference is an all-day event that includes oral and poster presentations, exhibits, an awards presentation for Sweet Water Water Quality Mini-Grantrecipients, and a celebration of our Watershed Champions.

NEW THIS YEAR: ‘SHED TALKS!

In addition to individual and panel presentation sessions, the conference will include Ted Talk style mini-presentations we’re calling ‘Shed Talks.

The purpose of these ‘Shed Talk sessions is to showcase how transformative thinking and innovative water-related projects are springing up in Southeastern Wisconsin.

THEME

This year’s theme is Innovating for Shared Prosperity.

The conference theme was selected to showcase watershed strategies that promote economic development, quality of life and environmental integrity.

This year, Sweet Water is utilizing the US Water Alliance’s One Water Approach and its six “arenas of action” to guide the conference program. To learn more about the One Water Approach, you can view the One Water web site and roadmap here.
