2017 St. Croix Summit
April 21, 2017 - April 22, 2017
Connecting the Dots: Creating Partnerships for Change
Annually, the St. Croix Water Resources Planning Team (the Basin Team) and the St. Croix River Association present the St. Croix Summit, a conference dedicated to presenting information about the health of the St. Croix River and its watershed.
The Basin Team is an interstate, interagency partnership formed in 1993 to address water resource issues in the St. Croix Basin. It has developed water quality goals for the St. Croix and is working to implement water quality protection, outreach, and monitoring.
The SCRA’s mission is to protect, restore and celebrate the St. Croix River and its watershed. With an approach based on partnerships, SCRA is working to realize a vision for the St. Croix as a place where rivers run free and clean, a diverse habitat sustains our unique and diverse flora and fauna, people have access to our National Park and the park flourishes, towns throughout the basin thrive, and people celebrate the river.
The 2017 St. Croix Summit — a conference dedicated to sharing information about the health of the St. Croix River and its watershed — will be held at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls on Friday, April 21st with optional workshops on Saturday, April 22nd. The Summit will inspire you with powerful examples of people working together to protect our most vital resources.
Keynote Speakers featuring:
- Working Together to Experience our National Rivers, Bob Ratcliffe, National Division Chief of Conservation and Outdoor Recreation, National Park Service
- Protecting the Kinni: Partnership Case Study with Saturday Workshop, Kinnickinnic Watershed Partnership Team
